is a name that came after many of them... My hair salons

Domnic came just to compliment and to stay as Domnic hair unisex. In this journey of business I have experimented so many names that they didn't work at all. I started with Africana hair salon done by professional’s “Narciso”. That was in 16^th December 1999 when Africana hair salon was born. By the time, after 3 months was open a second one. The first one it was in Mamelod Pretoria South Africa, the second one it was in Eerterust all so in Pretoria South Africa. Being life not so easy with rents and other issues, all both Africana’s they where closed down.

I thought moving back home to Maputo it would be the better solution. Well, Africana hair salon was DEAD!!!

I came home Maputo, I have opened friends & sisters hair salon.

It has just worked for only 3 months. Sometimes, if a couple does not so understand each other, it can affect the business ending closing it down. So, that happen I had to go back to Pretoria again for a start a fresh. I took some shares with a city salon in Pretoria, business was booming hey.

But Sofn’free knocked the door at my booming salon. He asked me to join them so that I could promote it in all Portuguese countries. One of them it was my own country Mozambique.

That was one of my big desires fulfilled. Even thou I did worked for Mark Bernard products known as Brake thru before.  Yes I stood up and went to work for Sofn’free products. I did my first hair seminar at Pretoria, playing a role of sta-sof-fro speech person that day.

Then 2 weeks I have embarked to Lourenço Marques today Maputo. I started to do Sofn’free in Mozambique. After 3 months I had to close down my shares at city salon at Pretoria South Africa, because it was not easy to take control of it while I was far away. So while I was in Maputo busy with Sofn’free, I have opened Young shall grow hair attitude done by professional Domnic.

It’s amazing, if you check all my salons before they were done by professional someone; Narciso, Domnic. After 7 years still running Young shall grow hair attitude I had to close down and went back to South Africa. That was 13^th September 2008 because of my jobs rules.

After two (2) weeks being in Pretoria I have decided to open Domnic hair unisex. And who is Domnic? It’s me; it’s one my Baby girl’s name? Domnic hair unisex came with many wonders which they will never end! It was doing well, very well. In 3^rd January 2011 I closed down Domnic hair unisex in Pretoria, because I and my family wanted to come back to Maputo.

In the 3^rd February 2011 I have opened Domnic hair unisex again in Matola – Maputo. Is doing, so well no complaints! We all know that business it’s having ups and downs. While I still alive, Domnic hair unisex will live longer, I don’t while I’m DEAD!!!

When I decided to open this business I was encouraged by the beauty of the world. I used to wonder if people they remember what they really are.

I love to see people looking good. Not in what their wearing, but in their hair, skin, after to what their wearing. That is what I am. Being in this business is not because of money only, but is all mentioned from the beginning of this page. Of course I will not just going to spend money, investing for nothing, I need to get my profit of every cent I spend on it.

Domnic hair unisex it came with new style of not spending any cent for advertising in pamphlets either on television, or radio extensions. Today I am in  this level of sharing what is Domnic hair unisex in realty, because  I want you to know… we are here on this industry not to make you feel our customer, but to became, a brother , sister, mother, father, uncle, untie, cousin, grandparents that Domnic never had before. So please feel comfortable to share your hair styles that can make you smile with us.

We are here to make you happy, because you are number one for us. Without you, Domnic will not be existed at all. I believe we have shares together in Domnic hair unisex.

We are here to connect you and your brothers or your sisters in beauty. Our advert is to make you beautiful so that others they will approach you and tell you how much you will be good looking, at the same time they will be asking where you did your hair.

I know is easy to talk about Domnic, while you ʹare eating a piece of meat in wedding, function, or some else. That wouldn’t make you lose your appetite. I know you will be busy giving Domnicʹs hair unisex address or maybe you will be giving the cell numbers, so that they will get the salon so easily.

We are here to make you feel so confident whatever you put your footsteps baby…we are here to make you charm someone, to make you being employed easily just because you will be having a nice style that can attract everyone in your department or even impressing people who will be coming to your section of work. We are here to give you suggestion of what you can be in future if you can look for the best standard of beauty, we are here to take a mirror just to show, you’re before and after so that you can see and believe we can change you in few seconds.

 We are in this industry to change hair stylist, to become hair dressers, because I believe there are many stylist in the world and few hair dressers.

So we are here to bring some education for people who want to learn to do hair in good and proper way. I believe their many people who think hair dressing it’s for those who never went to school or university. That is African ʹs mentality. It’s a pure lie.

In 1920ʹs, at Atlanta Georgia, it’s where the rules of educations they have started, so that every hair stylist would be educated in hair or beauty, and being qualified, in master and degrees in hair. So  for my information, everyone who  wake up and go to work at any hair salon should go to school of hair so that will come back to do any ones hair with knowledge and confidence of what he or she knows.

In 1996 after finishing my metric at Pretoria Gauteng, south Africa, I went to T.U.T (Tshwane University of technology) to do my hair dressing. I did it for 3 years than I finished in November 1999. At the same time, I was busy with my marketing, and business management course.

That was just to compliment my hair dressing course. It was not easy to do 3 in ones. I had to use all my intelligence to be good the way I was at school.  Now I’m technical educator of Sofn’free, presenting it in all Portuguese countries in Africa continent…

My confidence... as a hair dresser

I have been traveling around the world to connect hair stylists to a hair dressing education. Please let’s do this my brothers and sisters. We need to grow this industry so that we can make sure our customers are looking the way they want.

Being in this industry I have learned to know people better than before, to respect them for what they are, to understand at all moments they need my help.

In this industry we have A, B, C clients.  I am talking about Mercedes Benz, Honda ballade and Toyota corolla. Remember one thing: if you cannot drive a Mercedes Benz, because the maintenance is too high, you can still drive a Honda ballade. 

If you cannot drive both because you cannot afford too, then rather than go for a cheaper in buying even in maintenance but, still is going to make you reach you destiny. Many people they like to start higher and they don’t last; they end up falling before reaching a quarter of the destination. I have learned that too in business. Take every slowly step for you to reach higher and higher.

When a client comes to your hair salon to do some hair style, is because she cannot do by herself, so make sure you are the one who to encourage her or him in what to do. Either you will need to discuss about the hair treatment or service plus the amount that your client can afford to pay for the hair done. Some of our clients the used to get well paid, but it comes times in life that one cannot afford paying for expensive hair relaxer, is time for you to discuss with your client of a product that she can afford paying while looking good, with a health hair for a long period. If it happens that you have this type of clients, please don’t neglect them.

You have to remember the ups and downs that life can bring to any one of us. So it must be a time for you to learn to respect any one in your business. From your client record card, is where you start to know if you client is working or not, while you do the analysis. Every client, need a record in your salon. This will help you even to be in touch with your clients.

Not only, will it help you with the accounting. It may happen with your salon anniversary then you need to call them for the party your clients the play a role, in your business.

A simple and cool music can make your clients smile. But you need to compare moments for you to play certain music according to the age on your salon that day. All so according in witch day of the week you are.

A very soft music is good while you massage your clients head. New magazines in your business are recommended. You need to be updated with those. You need to send your workers for a training always so that they became in touch with the beauty and the salons rules. Internet is all so recommended to your business; you will be able to check new hair styles. All so you can open your client’s record true the computer.

Please my fellows let’s take care of our clients, they need us very much. Is time …let’s be educated...
